criminal arrest records

Gone are the days when employers took potential employees at face value due to increased crime and acts of terrorism. Upon request, the Freedom of Information Act provides that criminal arrest records will be made available to any public citizen who requires information about such an individual.

It has now become standard procedure when applying for a position to have an assessment carried out by the employer and this is mainly for safety and security reasons. Employers can also perform educational verifications online, as many people do not submit fraudulent certifications or fraudulent documentation such as social security numbers, past employment, and more.

Employers not only request criminal arrest records, but many women and men who are about to be married also request records to make sure they are not marrying a criminal or someone with a history of violence or drug abuse. Records can be obtained from most government departments, such as courts and police stations, but there is a much easier way to do this that will also save you time.

All you need to do is go online and find a private records provider that will charge you a small fee but provide you with an accurate and complete record of the person in question. Or, alternatively, you can search online for free, although it might take some time and patience.

One also has the option of checking their own personal records which could then be included along with their resume when applying for a position, if they do not have a criminal arrest record. Regardless of which state you reside in, you must follow the states’ laws and procedural policies, as each state may differ when it comes to retrieving records for any individual. Some states allow public access online and other states require written requests.
