Analysis of career and motivation in nursing

Nurses and doctors are our army, I started my career as a nursing intern and then gradually got a promotion, I am currently a nursing manager, I demonstrate my leadership quality at every level, I started as an emergency nursing intern, I have seen multiple disasters and crises like the bomb attack on Benazir Bhutto in Karachi and then her murder in 2007, when most cities burned hundreds of people, they were shot down by blind bullets, city crisis every day with a minimum of 10 to 12 shots per turn.

In the first disaster, I work with senior nurses, without a doubt, they were the best in their nursing care, in which I learned a lot and also pointed out a void, when I led my team at the time of the murder of Benazir, the country locked up during 3 days, pistol shot, tortured patients we received every alternate minute it was an urgent call, it started at night, so the management and the hospital administration went home, we knew that no one was coming to help us or provide additional support, we knew that we had to continue until the situation resolved.

As a team leader, I assigned motivated nurses to receive the patient and refer him to the resus or frontal area, doctors and senior nurses for evaluation, cannulation, wound washing, etc. etc.

The technician, the auxiliary nurse support them to provide equipment, medications, surgical supplies and inform other teams.

I was facing staffing issues, handling a disaster with routine shift staff was difficult but we do it all together, limited nurses, doorman and other staff, I decide to use cleaning staff to transport patients, 3 patients move together with the bed are moved by personal cleaning, 1 nurse, 1 technician and 1 intern to help them and transfer them to the operating room and return to their assigned area as quickly as they can, we transfer the patient from medical emergencies and other routine emergencies to the clinical area, which It was closed last night and I have assigned weak, that staff that I felt can demotivate my champions.

Most of the time most of us cry, with tears in our eyes that we never saw of this type in our life, we never saw in any Hollywood movie, we were motivated peoples, we were our own, no hunger, no thirst, just a feeling, “Mercy ALLAH” “Mercy ALLAH” help them and help us.

Evening and Night was a day of horror in our life, but today I feel that Covid-19 again needs the same strength to help our people, as a Nurse Manager, my administrative ability is good, by the grace of ALLAH during all these years never I stop at my clinical practices, even if I found a difficult cannulation, I do it for my staff, not to nail the patient.

I read some of the nurses today, I refuse to work in the Covid-19 Patient area just out of fear, yes, in my nursing career I have seen some of them agree to become nurses just for good salaries and move from Pakistan to European countries. Nurse visas are easy to come by.

Chitral earthquake and floods

If I was unmotivated at the time, I would not be in this position that I am in now. I have served the mountaineering community and harsh climatic environment that I have never been to and this was the second time I have served the nation when there is a call for help from remote areas of Upper Chitral Khyber Pakhtoon Khuwan, Pakistan.

My suggestion as a leader is that you know your strength, forgive those you think are weak and demotivate others in battle, I am sure that if I get off, another standup to replace the position and you can continue fighting.

Crown I’m ready! To serve my community and my country, do not fear that we will defeat them with our unity.
