Tips for praying for your worship team

Warrior prayer leaders sometimes need to take a break from constant prayers and take stock. We need to think and ask the Lord what else we can do to help and encourage others on our worship team.

I have found that it is always a good idea to have a Check list of things to watch out for, things to do – before running out of your home on an important mission or on the front lines of the battlefield as one of the Warriors of the Lord’s Prayer.

Take a look at this checklist:

First, consider your armor: the belt of truth. Breastplate of justice. Gospel peace shoes. Shield of faith. Helmet of salvation. Sword of the Spirit – word of God.

Second, take a battle location at the front of your battlefield.

Third, have a schedule to keep it on a regular prayer schedule.

Fourth, come up with a strategy: What do you plan to accomplish during your prayer time?

Fifth, remember to praise the Lord and thank Him, well you know, everything …

Sixth, be sure to tie up the strong man, the devil.

Seventh, tell the angels what you want them to do. Be specific: give them orders!

Eighth, be persistent. Keep shooting in those situations that need the intense power of prayer for a long time.

Ninth, speak and also listen. Meditate while you pray.

Tenth, when you finish your daily prayer time, make a list of what you have prayed for and what you have prayed for; then walk away and see the results!

Well that’s an initial checklist for you. You can add or modify it with your own list. The important thing is to start your list now. Why? Because the experience you gain during these little raids and skirmishes as a conscripted prayer warrior can build your confidence and faith for the major battles that are sure to await you.

But remember, the best way to start preparing your campaign for all the battles to come is with a Prayer Warrior Checklist.
