The Hardy Boys – Extreme Team

WWE’s Hardy Boys came in with only one thing in mind and that was that one day they would win the WWE Tag Team Titles.

When they were high school students, the brothers watched a Wrestlemania pay-per-view and decided that day they wanted to be professional wrestlers.

After the pay-per-view, the boys set out to start their own brand of wrestling that they would show anywhere they were allowed. They ended up playing in front of crowds at local high schools and local fairs and markets.

When they finally got their big break and broke into WWE, they decided not to waste any opportunity.

No one around the world, including members of the WWE, had no idea what to expect from the high-flying team, but they soon found out that the Hardy boys were in WWE to stay and that they would be making waves instead of waves.

It wasn’t long before they got their first shot at the titles and finally fulfilled their dreams of being title holders by beating the APA for their first tag team championship.

The Hardy Boys broke down walls that no one would have expected to see in the world of wrestling.

They introduced such things as ladder matches and the TLC match which featured tables, ladders and chairs. these types of matches required copious amounts of high-flying tactics and opponents having to work so hard to keep up with the team that if you blinked you’d be missing out on something fantastic.

Finally, The Hardy Boys added a wrestler to the mix by the name of Lita. By adding Lita team extreme he became unbeatable. Lita fit the bill perfectly due to the high flying techniques of hers that she loved so much.

The time came when the Hardy boys decided they wanted to move on and focus on their singles careers within WWE.

As individual competitors, they were also fantastic, but nothing compared to when the two of them were the highest flying team in WWE.

In 2007, the Hardy Boys decided to get together one last time to see where they could get to in a short amount of time. Well, it quickly became apparent that the team never lost or forgot how to fight as tag team favourites.

In 2007 they captured their seventh tag team title before once again continuing their singles careers.

As individual competitors, Matt and Jeff Hardy have been extremely successful, but neither can measure the success they had as a tag team like the Hardy Boys or as Team Extreme.
