Cake decorating can be so easy: how to make a cake from scratch

How important is it to make a beautiful cake? When your friend or family is having a birthday party, or something really nice happened to your colleague at the company, or important moments like your wedding anniversaries, an elegant and beautiful cake can really enhance the festive atmosphere.

Cake decorating has always been one of the most demanding steps in making a cake. You have to prepare a large number of materials and tools that are usually rare for the average household. However, what I would like to present to you today is a fairly simple recipe, a decorated cake without complex decoration needs.

To make this cake, you won’t need a cake stand, or sets of pastry tubes you’ll probably never use, or a special spatula, and you won’t need to practice wiping the cream to make it smooth. This is a simple yet elegant cake, definitely attractive to look at and one hundred percent guaranteed to be delicious.

I call it “white forest of honey beans”. It is made of chiffon cake, honey beans, light cream, covered in white chocolate chips, and fresh cherries as decoration. Delicate, soft, sweet and delicious, in short, this simple recipe is very easy to learn at home.

[Honey Beans White Forest] – HOW TO MAKE A CAKE FROM SCRATCH

INGREDIENTS:

INGREDIENTS FOR A 6-INCH CAKE: a 6-inch chiffon cake, 200ML of whipped cream, 25 grams of fine sugar, 80 grams of white chocolate, some red beans confit in honey and 8 fresh cherries.

INGREDIENTS FOR AN 8-INCH CAKE: 1 8-inch chiffon cake, 360ML of whipped cream, 45 grams of fine sugar, 140 grams of white chocolate, some red beans confit in honey and 10 fresh cherries.

The amount of whipped cream and white chocolate in the recipe is just for your reference. You can totally change the dosage depending on how thick you want the cream to be or how big you want the white chocolate chips to be.

PROCESS:

1. Bake a 6- or 8-inch chiffon cake. Cut the top of the baked cake, then cut it horizontally into three parts.

2. Prepare some light animal cream and beat it thoroughly with sugar. The amount of sugar can be adjusted according to your personal taste.

3. Take a piece of chiffon cake, evenly cover its top with a layer of light whipped cream.

4. Top the cream cake with a layer of honey beans.

5. Paved another layer of cream on top of the honey beans.

6. Put a second piece of cake.

7. Repeat steps 3-6 and place a third piece of cake.

8. Top the entire cake evenly with light whipping cream.

9. Scoop up some of the white chocolate chips with a rubber spatula and spread evenly around the top and side of the cake.

10. When the cake is completely covered in white chocolate chips, make eight balls of cream and top with fresh cherries for a 6-inch cake. If it’s an 8-inch cake, decorate it with 10 cherries.
