After Burn – A more effective exercise trick

Diet aside, the most effective way to get rid of belly fat is by exercising. Of course, most people appreciate the importance of exercise in losing belly fat; but very few know the correct way to exercise and how to get the most out of any exercise we do. For example, most cannot take full advantage of the ‘after burn’ effect because they do not pace their exercise properly.

Let’s get one thing straight. Exercising at a steady pace, can be slow or medium, is not very effective.

The reason this is the wrong way to exercise is that once you stop exercising, your body stops burning fat. Exercising at a slow or medium pace would require you to exercise for long periods of time to lose any belly fat, which is highly inefficient and a complete waste of time and energy.

The secret of efficient exercise

The best way to exercise to lose belly fat is to do it in such a way that your body can continue to burn fat even after you have stopped. In this way, there is little need to exercise for prolonged periods.

This technique is called high-intensity interval training, or HIIT. It is accomplished by rapidly alternating the speed of your cardio. You can exercise slowly for twenty to thirty seconds and then suddenly switch to your faster pace for the next ten to fifteen seconds. Then you can go to a medium pace after that and so on. The intensity and rapidity of the changes in exercise pace send your body into something of a shock and keep you burning fat for up to eighteen hours after you have stopped exercising.

Let me say it again: up to eighteen hours after you have stopped exercising. Amazing, right? It’s called ‘After Burn’

Now that you know this amazing technique, you can proceed to choose an exercise in which you can apply it. Examples of good exercises you might choose include stair climber, interval running and walking, and the elliptical.

So go ahead. See if this technique doesn’t work ‘miraculously’ for you.
