Digital watches vs analog watches

There are so many different watches to choose from, have you considered a large digital display instead of a traditional analog one? Digital clocks may be easier and faster for people with vision problems to read, and may also be easier for children to learn to read.

There are several things that you may want to consider.

1. They are silent. You won’t hear any ticking noise, which can be really irritating on analog clocks. So a digital model may be more suitable for places like a study or media room where you want it to be quiet.

2. Read the time faster. Like a digital watch, it’s quicker to be able to look at the face and see a number like 6:14 am than it is to have to look at the hour, minute, and second. As I mentioned, children will also have an easier time learning to tell time this way.

3. A modern, fresh and elegant appearance. If you live in a new home designed with modern technology, a stylish digital display can nicely blend the old with the new. The time-honored traditional concept of a wall clock is maintained, but boldly redefined in a modern form.

4. Slimmer and more space saving than traditional watch. Less wall space taken up again looks classy and elegant.

Digital watches are obviously always electronic, so they require batteries to work. The life cycle of the batteries is similar to that of a conventional watch, about 12-18 months between changes.

Choosing a digital watch will be entirely a matter of personal preference, and most people will still go for an analog one. So it’s a sure way to personalize your house or room. As with most electronics, you’ll find a good deal online at many stores.
