101 Bail Bonds – Along the Journey
Jealousy has led to the death of many and the destruction of productive lives for those thrown into the world of incarceration because of an overzealous and passionate response.
This story begins with an older man showing interest in a younger woman. A casual conversation gets the ball rolling with an eventual exchange of phone numbers and invitations to meet again. Armed with the girl’s phone number, he begins texting, hoping for a warm response.
Charm and persistence starts a chain of text messages. It’s a happy little text relationship until one morning. That morning, the young woman walks into her shower leaving her cell phone for her boyfriend to examine. Due to her recent mood swing, she suspects something, so she checks the text messages.
Discovering his text correspondence with someone who has been flirting with his girlfriend infuriates the boyfriend, but he knows better than to reveal that he knows about this texting affair. What is he going to do with this stranger trying to get his girlfriend away from him?
A short time later, the groom comes up with a plan and waits for an opportunity. Using the girlfriend’s cell phone, while she is in the shower, he poses as the girl and sends a text message to the stranger and with suggestive language arranges to meet the stranger at a certain place and time.
Setting the ambush in motion, the boyfriend enlists the help of a friend to send a serious message to the mysterious texting man. The friend suggests a couple of guys to act as looks. Agreeing, a young man is contacted and told to find a friend to sit in the patrol car with him.
He walked over, agreed and moved on, this newest member completing the quartet has no idea what is about to happen. He just goes for a walk with a friend.
Stationed far enough away from the meeting place, the two vigilantes just chat, text and keep their eyes open, while the jealous boyfriend and his friend wait inside the house where the older man was told to come meet him. the young woman
He shows up, there is no girl, but the older man confronts the jealous boyfriend and his friend, beats and tortures him. Meanwhile, the two men in the car have no idea what is going on inside the house they are observing.
It was an ugly incident. Finally caught, luckily no one died, but everyone was guilty of participating. Simply going along and not knowing what was happening while he was sitting in the car carried little weight. A felony conviction for simply riding along was not expected, but it does happen.
Think twice when someone suggests you go on a trip with them and the person asking is vague about where exactly that trip will take you. In this case, it led to a big problem.
